The author writes under the pen name Gardener. Articles are meant to stand on their sources, not on who wrote them.
How articles are checked
- Primary sources first. Wherever possible, I go back to the original report, government page or data set rather than relying on a summary of it.
- Sources are labeled by type. Official, press and vendor material are kept apart, because a broker’s estimate is not the same as a government figure.
- Numbers say what they measure. Asking prices, recorded deals, averages and estimates are not treated as interchangeable.
- Calculations are shown. Assumptions are stated, so you can replace them with your own numbers.
- Gaps are stated openly. If I could not confirm something, the article says so.
- Articles carry a date. Markets and schedules change, so each article says when its information was checked.
